Andy Instone

Andy Instone - Street Dance GuruAndy Instone has taught over 311,000 dancers from his 4 internationally selling DVD’s and 51 live arena performances. His choreographic work has appeared on 36 TV channels, been seen in 128 countries and been viewed by a global audience of 1.73 billion people.  He has worked alongside Dizzee Rascal,  Alexandra Burke and Sean Paul and has even had the privilege of choreographing for Her Majesty The Queen, twice! (He also taught Richard Branson the Running man!)

He has been on a 13 year journey in Street Dance and Hip Hop Culture and has learnt his foundations from the most influential pioneers in Hip Hop and Street Dance culture, including learning from Poppin Pete, Suga Pop, Mr Wiggles, Ken Swift, Greg Campellock junior, Tony Gogo, Buddha Stretch, Brooklyn Terry and Caleaf.

Andy is sponsored by Vauxhall and is the artistic director of Urban Strides. He has judged on the Hip Hop Champs and UK Street Dance weekend and is also Artistic Director for the Young Voices Arena Tour.

Fred “The Realness” Folkes

Fred Folkes - Social Street Dance ExpertFred Realness is the founder of the “Realness” which started in 2006. His aim is to teach the original styles of Popping and Locking, which he has studied from Sugapop and Popin Pete from the Electric Boogaloos. Fred has also had lessons from the creator of Popping and the Boogaloo style, Boogaloo Sam.

In addition, Fred has been studying Locking under the guidance of Greg Campbellock junior, who is a member of the world famous Locking Group ‘The Lockers’, and also Suga Pop from the Electric Boogaloos.

Fred has taught Popping and Locking to various dance companies In the UK including Robert Hylton's Urban Classicism, East London Dance & Hype dance (Sheffield) to name but a few. He has also worked as a freelance artist teaching for Jonzi D productions in schools and universities, and at festivals such as ‘Move it’ at  the Kensington Olympia exhibition centre and ‘Sampled’ at Sadlers Wells.

Fred has been invited abroad in 2008 to teach alongside Greg Campbellock junior  in Genoa (Italy), in Sienna (Italy), in Moscow (Russia), St Petersburg (Russia), Eisenburg (Germany), Helsinki (Finland).  He is very keen to continue working abroad spreading his knowledge of Popping and Locking.

Bboying (Breakdance) Foundations:

Sasha Biloshitsky

Sasha - Bboy and Breakdancing ExpertSasha Biloshitsky has over 10 years professional experience and a variety of significant credits, working with artists such as Sean Paul, Big Brovaz and Alesha Dixon. At the same time, he successfully earned his respect in the UK Hip Hop dance scene as a performer and choreographer. As well as winning titles with his crew, Floor Crusaders, Sasha has recently launched production companies called Physical Productions and Funk Format.

Dedication, hard work, discipline and plenty of fun lie at the heart of Sasha's ethics.

Sasha will be breaking down the bboy foundations and showing you how to freestyle with your authentic movement.

House dance foundations:

Clara de Paris

Clara - House and Hip Hop Dance ExpertClara has danced alongside famous dancers/choreographers such as Brian 'Footwork' Green, Jazzy Jay (NYC), Niels 'Storm' Robitzky from Berlin, Nasty & Hugson from France and many more.

For the past year, she has been promoting the House Dance culture here in London through her creative workshops at both Pineapple Studios and Breakstation.

More recently CLARA has become the new Nike athlete after winning the Nike Danceclash 2007 here in London.

Electric Boogaloo:

Alex “Mechanikool” Peters

Alex Mechanikool Peters - Electric Boogaloo Dance Specialist"Mechanikool" is a keen student of the art form, Electric Boogaloo. His passion to have a deeper understanding of the dance has led him to learning opportunities under guidance of legends including Pop N Taco, Popin Pete, Skeeter Rabbit (RIP) and other dancers from the Electric Boogaloo crew. He strongly values the importance of understanding the origins of any dance form you may wish to learn and has firsthand experience of how it has developed him as a dancer and an individual.

Mechanikool has also worked with youth and schools industries for 13 years and has a great understanding of youth culture and the educational environment.

Over time, he has managed to combine knowledge and experience from all these areas to deliver a unique tool for raising aspiration amongst young people.

Effective Communication:

Paula Harris

Paula is a highly experienced Learning and Development and HR Specialist.  She has 22 years' expertise in leadership development, coaching and mentoring, training and development and generalist HR. Paula is the founder of 2 companies: Respond2Change are experts in organisational and individual change using employee feedback software solutions and coaching individual employee behavioural change complemented with 360 degree feedback software.  ReadySteadyCoach is dedicated to working with parents, teachers and health professionals to raise awareness and develop emotional intelligence through the use of coaching techniques for children.  Paula is MA (HRM), Fellow CIPD, NLP Practitioner, Hypnotherapist, Time Line Therapist, Accredited Training Foundation TAP Trainer, Member of British Institute for Learning and Development. She is also the local expert for parenting advice on BBC radio Sussex and Surrey.

Child Protection:

Andrea Smith

Andrea is an independent safeguarding consultant, and independent investigating officer.
She is a registered Social Worker with extensive knowledge and expertise in all matters relating to the safeguarding children agenda within education settings and beyond. Andrea initiated and developed a ‘Safeguarding in Education Team’ as an innovative response to new national requirements. The team provided valuable training, written guidance, advice and support to schools and education services.

Now working independently, Andrea delivers child protection training to entire schools, designated staff and governing bodies. In addition she is an accredited trainer for Safer Recruitment.

Andrea received her training to undertake disciplinary investigations from a paralegal training organisation and has conducted investigations within schools, the Local Authority and a health trust. She offers significant expertise and specialises in cases that include a child protection or safeguarding element. She also presents cases at disciplinary hearings and appeals.

Andrea is also trained as a mediator to resolve conflict within the workplace, achieving a distinction in the process.

Her previous experience includes the position of Local Authority Designated Officer, gaining extensive experience in managing allegations against staff. She was involved in advising Head Teachers and School Governors on the management of individual cases. This requires an understanding of the modus operandi of adults who seek to harm children and also those who find managing difficult behaviour challenging.

Andrea was asked to sit as a member of a number of sub-groups of a Local Safeguarding Children Board, where she was actively involved in developing and improving practice throughout the children’s workforce. These included training, safer employment, and serious and strategic case review.

Safe Working Practices to protect children and staff is a significant interest and Andrea has led workshops in schools and at conferences on the subject, encouraging debate around the subject and assisting schools in developing a comprehensive and unambiguous document that sets out clear expectations for staff behaviour.
